Baumert

De colleges van Dr. N. Baumert, 17-18 september 2009 aan de VU, en de bezinningsdag met hem in Houten op 19 september, hebben veel waardevolle inzichten en studiemateriaal met zich meegebracht inzake ‘charisma’ en ‘doop in de Geest’. Als leerstoelbestuur zijn we daar heel blij mee.

Een Engelse samenvatting van de lezingen die Baumert in Nederland gaf, staat als document 0290uk op http://www.stucom.nl/. Daarin ook een overzicht van het beschikbare studiemateriaal waar Baumert naar verwees in zijn lezingen, materiaal dat voor een groot deel op internet te vinden is en zijn boeken (Duits) die te bestellen zijn bij Paraklesis Boeken verkoop@paraklesis.nl en bij de uitgever zelf.

Een Nederlandse vertaling van een groot artikel van Baumert zal verschijnen in Geestkacht, het bulletin voor charismatische theologie. Te zijner tijd zal de verschijning van dit artikel ook worden aangekondigd via deze info-brief. Datzelfde geldt voor de collegeteksten. Daarvan heeft prof. Baumert een brochure gemaakt in het Duits. Aan een Nederlandse en een Engelse vertaling hiervan moet nog worden gewerkt.

Hocken

In 2002 gaf dr. Peter Hocken gastcolleges voor onze leerstoel aan de VU. Het heeft lang geduurd, maar nu zijn die lezingen (aangevuld met nieuw informatie uit de laatste jaren) dan toch gepubliceerd in een prachtig boek: The Challenges of the Pentecostal, Charismatic and Messianic Jewish Movements – The Tensions of the Spirit. Een korte bespreking van dit boek staat als document 0292uk op www.stucom.nl met daar bij gevoegd een aantal gedeeltes uit het boek zelf:

Baumert
The lectures of Dr. N. Baumert at the V.U. (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) on the 17^th and 18^th of September 2009, and those on the so called ‘contemplation day’ have given valuable insights and study material concerning ‘charisma’ and ‘baptism in the Holy Spirit’. As board of this chair we are delighted about this.

There is an English summary available on www.stucom.nl (document 029uk). This summary contains the lectures he gave as well as the study material Baumert referred to. On the internet you will find a great deal of this material. At Paraklesis Books the author’s books can be ordered (verkoop@paraklesis.nl).

The bulletin for charismatic theology, Geeskracht (Spirit power), will publish a substantial article of Baumert. This will be announced beforehand. Likewise his brochure, which Baumert has drawn up out of his lectures, will be published. This German text awaits a Dutch and an English translation.   

Hocken
In 2002 Dr. Peter Hocken had given lectures at the V.U. on behalf of our chair. It has taken a while, but these lectures (and additional information) are now published in a wonderful book: The Challenges of the Pentecostal, Charismatic and Messianic Jewish Movements – The Tensions of the Spirit.
